Intone, O My servants, the verses of God that have been received by thee,

as intoned by them who have drawn nigh unto Him, that the sweetness of thy melody

may kindle thine own soul, and attract the hearts of all men.

Whoso reciteth, in the privacy of his chamber,

the verses revealed by God, the scattering angels of the Almighty

shall scatter abroad the fragrance of the words uttered by his mouth,

and shall cause the heart of every righteous man to throb.

Though he may, at first, remain unaware of its effect,

yet the virtue of the grace vouchsafed unto him

must needs sooner or later exercise its influence upon his soul.

Thus have the mysteries of the Revelation of God been decreed

by virtue of the Will of Him Who is the Source of power and wisdom.

Welcome to Bahá’í!

This website was created to give everyone  an opportunity to read selections of  prayers  from the Bahá’í Faith,

and as an educational tool for learning about the  Bahá’í Faith through the writings and prayers themselves.

For those of you who are not familar with the Bahá’í Faith, here is an overview from

The Bahá’í Faith is the youngest of the world’s independent monotheistic religions.

Founded in Iran in 1844, it now has more than five million adherents in 236 countries and territories.

Bahá’ís come from nearly every national, ethnic and religious background,

making the Bahá’í Faith the second-most-widespread religion in the world.

Bahá’ís view the world's major religions as a part of a single, progressive process

through which God reveals His will to humanity.

Bahá'u'lláh (1817-1892), the Founder of the Bahá’í Faith,

is recognized as the most recent in a line of Divine Messengers that includes

Abraham, Moses, Buddha, Zoroaster, Christ and Muhammad.

The central theme of Bahá'u'lláh's message is that humanity is one single race

and that the day has come for humanity’s unification into one global society.

While reaffirming the core ethical principles common to all religions,

Bahá'u'lláh also revealed new laws and teachings to lay the foundations of a global civilization.

A new life,” Bahá'u'lláh declared, “is, in this age, stirring within all the peoples of the earth.

The worldwide Bahá’í community, composed of people from virtually every racial, ethnic and religious background,

is working to give practical expression to Bahá'u'lláh’s vision of world unity.

Oh God! Refresh and gladden my spirit. Purify my heart.

Illumine my powers.

I lay all my affairs in Thy hand.

Thou art my Guide and my Refuge.

I will no longer be sorrowful and grieved; I will be a happy and joyful being.

O God! I will no longer be full of anxiety, nor will I let trouble harass me.

I will not dwell on the unpleasant things of life.

O God! Thou art more friend to me than I am to myself.

I dedicate myself to Thee, O Lord.
